Managed Care Concepts (MC2) will offer a standard "Turn Key" or a custom Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you. We will work with your organization to conduct a needs analysis. This analysis will allow us to understand the unique aspects of your business, so we can target the most problematic populations. Next, we will develop a set of long and short-term goals and create a unique comprehensive Employee Assistance Program design for you. The design will cover the following key components:
Policies and Procedures
We will work with your organization to evaluate and refine the policy statements and procedures for using the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). This will include a review of the purpose and philosophy of the program, referral procedures, session model, and a clear definition of program requirements.
|
The
Promotional Letter
When an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is supported
from the top down, it is better accepted throughout the entire
organization. We will assist your top management staff in the development
of an executive letter to introduce and support the program. |
EAP Confidentiality and Legal Issues
Confidentiality is the cornerstone of any successful
Employee Assistance Program (EAP). We will provide you with a
solid confidentiality policy and will help develop procedures
to effectively and legally handle potentially dangerous employees.
This will be accomplished through the use of informed consent,
obtaining permission for the release of information, accurate
record keeping, and other similar measures.
|
Drug Free Workplace/Fitness
for Duty Recommendation
We accept the responsibility of advising your organization
in developing a policy for handling employees who do not appear
fit for duty such as employees who arrive at work under the influence.
We will also assist in outlining what is expected
in a drug-free environment, help in establishing appropriate policy
and procedures (state laws can vary), and assist in implementing
drug testing or other policies the organization decides to adopt. |
Referral Procedures
Both employee and supervisory access to the Employee
Assistance Program (EAP) must be clear and uncomplicated. We
will outline the various ways that the program can be used. This
includes, but is not limited to supervisory referrals, self-referrals,
referrals by family and peers, and referrals of concern.
|
Recommendations
Regarding the Benefits Package
We accept the responsibility of advising you of
the various ways in which insurance coverage can be used to maximize
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) effectiveness. |
Complete Implementation Schedule
Once the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) contract
is signed, we will provide your organization with a detailed
schedule of promotions and supervisory training sessions. Included
in this schedule are dates for the beginning of each phase of
the program
|
Promotion
Materials
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) promotion drives
utilization. Examples of material provided include posters, wallet
cards, newsletters, payroll stuffers, brochures, and others |
Establishment of Definition of Success
We will suggest criteria and work with your liaison to establish goals for the program and to clarify what is meant by success.
|
Quality Assurance
All the clients served by our Employee Assistance
Program (EAP) are contacted by quality evaluation coordinators.
We assess the client's satisfaction with the program, with Employee
Assistance Program (EAP) counselors, with their therapist (if they
were referred to one), and whether or not there was improvement
in their personal life and/or work life. |
Accountability Procedure
Within the confines of confidentiality, we agree
to provide your organizations with reports on Employee Assistance
Program (EAP) utilization. The quarterly reports include demographics
on the employees/family members using the program, the referral

data.
