| Clinical Triage for each individual requesting precertification for mental health or substance abuse treatment which includes a comprehensive assessment of the presenting problem, evaluation of any prior treatment, and referrals to appropriate care givers |
| Precertification of all in-network mental health and substance abuse treatment including inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient services |
| Concurrent review and continued stay review to determine the continued appropriateness of the intensity of care being rendered |
| Discharge planning assistance for all precertified care to ensure that the individual and attending professional are made aware of continuing support systems or to assist the covered individual in making the transition from one level of care to another |
| Quality assessment survey services and reports with regard to client response to care |
| Data and reports, which accurately identify services and treatment, authorized in order to facilitate claims processing, financial planning, and benefit design and budgeting |
